Transparency about where CarDecision figures and summaries come from — and how we label confidence.
Our principles
We prefer manual or licensed imports through admin over opaque scraping. News pages publish original summaries with publisher name and a “Read full story” link — never a scraped full article. Sales and price rows carry data_confidence badges (demo, estimated, reported, verified). Upcoming cars use confidence_level labels (rumour through confirmed). Community discussions are title + outbound link only.
Demo environments intentionally ship sample rows so UI and calculators can be tested. Production operators should replace demo figures, keep source URLs, and record update logs when feeds change.
Allowed usage
A source marked with allowed usage means operators believe the feed or manual entry path may be used under the notes shown. “Pending permission” or inactive sources must not be treated as cleared for republication.
