What are cookies?

We use a session cookie so the site can keep a secure session for CSRF protection on forms (including Contact and admin login) and to display one-time flash messages after redirects. These are required for those features to work safely.

Analytics cookies

If a measurement ID is configured, Google Analytics (or a similar tool) may set cookies to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate geography, device type. Operators can disable analytics in configuration.

Advertising cookies

Ad slots on CarDecision are placeholders until advertising is explicitly enabled and a publisher ID is set. When Google AdSense or another network is active, that network may use cookies for delivery and frequency capping under its own policy.

Third-party embeds

Review pages may embed YouTube videos via privacy-enhanced domains when a video ID exists. YouTube may set cookies when the player loads. Community and news pages that only link out do not embed forum content.

Managing cookies
